ServiceRemoteFunction

class dsviper.ServiceRemoteFunction

Bases: object

A resolved callable, reached by attribute: service.pools.<pool>.<name>.

Call it like a Python function: the arguments are checked against the prototype, and the result is a native leaf, or a wrapped Value for a container or a blob. Calling once the connection is closed raises ViperError.

It also answers which service, pool and declaration it came from.

Note: Not directly instantiable.

function() → ServiceRemoteFunctionPoolFunction

Return the declaration of the function being called.

pool() → ServiceRemoteFunctionPool

Return the pool the function belongs to.

service() → ServiceRemote

Return the ServiceRemote the call goes through.
